Rajaji Tiger Reserve Safari

The well-known Rajaji Tiger Reserve is a national park situated at Uttarakhand, a beautiful state of India. Rajaji National Park is different because of its unspoiled charming beauty and affluent bio-diversity. A bliss for wildlife admirer and nature fan, this national park is enriched with wide range of wildlife which includes elephants, leopards, tigers, ghorals and deer as its best known life systems.

Three sanctuaries in the Uttarakhand, Shivaliks – Rajaji, Motichur and Chila were merged into a huge protected zone and named Rajaji National Park in the year 1983 and the name derived from the name of famous freedom fighter Late Sri C. Rajgopalachari popularly acknowledged as "Rajaji".Rajaji Tiger Reserve whose former name was Rajaji National Park is situated in the Shivalik range of Himalayas and range approximately 820 km. The region of Rajaji National Park covers a part of three district of Uttarakhand state which are Haridwar, Dehradun and Pauri Garhwal. It now turn out to be the second Tiger reserve of Uttarakhand after Corbett National Park. On 20 April 2015 its name converted from Rajaji National Park to Rajaji Tiger Reserve.

The small settlement of Chilla almost 13 km northeast which functions as the base for visiting this reserve. The uniqueness in Rajaji is its wilderness which attracted many nature's fan, wildlife photographers, and adventure lovers to spend some magnificent days amongst the energizing views. Rajaji Tiger Reserve comes in the counting of popular tourist places of Uttarakhand which is visited by many tourist from all over the India as well as foreign tourists. This naturally rich habitation is filled with charming environment, bubbly rivers, lavish green grasslands and bushes which make it a natural habitat.
